The big news is illusionist and magician, David Copperfield, has become a dad for the first time French girlfriend, Chloe Gosselin gave birth to a beautiful girl, named Sky, now 16 months. Copperfield, 54, and Gosselin, 26, a fashion model, have been spotted jet setting all over New York, the Bahamas and Las Vegas with baby in tow. Copperfield can be found delighting audiences with his magic act in Vegas at the MGM Grand. Herecently broke his own career record with $3 billion in ticket sales worldwide. That figure is higher than any solo entertainer in history, including Madonna, Michael Jackson and Lady Gaga, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. A little backstory: the couple met two years ago through a mutual friend. They share Copperfield’s penthouse in New York City but now claim their main residence are the Islands of Copperfield Bay in the Bahamas. A true Caribbean lover, Copperfield owns a private, 11-island resort at Musha Cay - the Islands of Copperfield Bay in the Exumas. He recently completed a $35 million renovation at the frequent destination for the rich and famous. When I tracked Copperfield down on the streets of New York, he quipped, “My next magic act won’t be making something like the Statue of Liberty disappear. No, no, no. The disappearing diaper is my next challenge... and quite frankly, a lot more practical.
