The Caribbean cruise industry is enjoying another busy summer, with cruise lines introducing exciting new ships, exclusive destinations and enhanced holiday experiences for travellers planning their next tropical escape.
One of the biggest headlines comes from Royal Caribbean, whose spectacular new Legend of the Seas has officially entered service after completing sea trials. The third Icon Class ship features more than 40 restaurants and entertainment venues, multiple pools and one of the largest water parks ever built at sea. After its Mediterranean debut, the ship is scheduled to sail Caribbean itineraries from Fort Lauderdale later this year. (Royal Caribbean Group Press Center)
Luxury cruising is also expanding. Four Seasons Yachts has announced that its inaugural Caribbean season will include two exclusive private island experiences—one in the Anguilla archipelago and another at Norman’s Cay in The Bahamas—offering guests a more intimate and premium island escape. Health officials, however, continue to remind passengers to follow good hygiene practices after a recent norovirus outbreak aboard the Ruby Princess affected more than 120 people. Looking Ahead
The outlook for Caribbean cruising remains exceptionally positive. Cruise lines continue investing billions of dollars in new ships, upgraded ports and exclusive destinations, ensuring that the Caribbean remains one of the world’s most popular cruise regions.
From The Bahamas and Jamaica to Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua and the Cayman Islands, millions of passengers are expected to enjoy unforgettable Caribbean voyages throughout 2026.
