A Tribute to my late Mother and Father on this occasion.

I would like to thank my late Mother and Father who have been enormously supportive throughout my career and I am eternally grateful for all of what they have done for me over the years. Here below is a photograph of my late Father who was a brilliant

Advocate - Par Excellence. This picture above was taken of him some 90 years ago.

Lord Patrick Lichfield Publisher Ray Carmen

The idea was enthusiastically received that it was launched in 1991 by the late Lord Patrick Lichfield, 5th Earl of Lichfield, celebrated royal photographer and cousin of HM Queen Elizabeth II. The launch, at World Travel Market in London, signified of a celebrated, glossy quarterly publication with Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter issues.

Regular readers will appreciate that the magazine editorial comes from writers who love all things Caribbean, from the mouthwatering food, intoxicating music and vibrant culture to the colourful fashion and scandalous celebrity gossip.

Islands’ experts contribute specially commissioned features to each issue, including interviews with famous faces from film, music and entertainment who have a heartfelt affinity for the Caribbean. We also profile some of the truly stunninghomes of our readers who have snapped up their own piece of Caribbean palm-fringed paradise. Few things are as seductive as beautiful imagery of gorgeous Caribbean inspired interiors using rattan, rock, shell, palm, ceramic, polished woods and sumptuous art. We also celebrate innovative exterior decor, pool decks and bloom-filled gardens and examine how these can be inspired by the blissful landscapes and character of each mesmerising Caribbean isle.

So, as Caribbean World magazine enters its 4th decade, all that is left is to say a huge “thank you” to everyone who supports the magazine and loves it as much as we do. Your support means the world to us, wherever you are around the globe. From the 7,000 Caribbean isles, and our offices in the heart of London, we are filled with gratitude for your super feedback, always.

We look forward to the next 30 years!
